“If I could sum up why I’m committed to the HR Girlfriends community it would come down to because we are ‘….in this together.'”

~Sana’ Rasul, Chief Girlfriend

Affirmation: My fears diminish as I live my life with courage.

I develop my courage by practicing courage. The more often I demonstrate courage in my life, the more courage I have available to me. I work to build my courage muscles each day by facing my fears.

When I am faced with a situation that causes anxiety, I make it a point to deal directly with that situation. I avoid running away or working around that situation.

As I face each scary situation, I become stronger and more resistant to fear.

Fear diminishes when I stand up to it. I show myself that I am a brave person when I deal with fearful situations. I know I can learn to be courageous in any situation if I avoid running away from it.

It becomes easier each day to demonstrate courage. I can feel myself becoming a braver person. I notice that I experience less fear each day. I am proud of the person I am becoming. I am learning to be comfortable in all situations.

I live my life with courage.

Today, I am being strong and dealing with the negative situations in my life. I am willing to be uncomfortable. I am an example of courage and bravery. My fears are diminishing.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What are the things and situations that I fear that limit my life?
2. Who is the bravest person I know? What can I learn from them?
3. What is one small thing I can do today that makes me feel uncomfortable?
