“If I could sum up why I’m committed to the HR Girlfriends community it would come down to because we are ‘….in this together.'”

Affirmation: I remain peaceful amidst the financial crisis in my country.

There is so much news out there that can turn our heads, confuse us and even cause us stress.  We all know that most countries are experiencing a negative financial impact because of the COVID19 crisis.  At times, it may possibly take our breath away to not know what the future holds for us.  However, we know that we have to carry on; we have to keep putting one foot in front of the other.  Join us in this affirmation and while today, you may not have all of this embedded in your mind, keep saying it to yourself each day so you will be able to face each new day with peace.

Regardless of today’s news about the financial state of my country, I stay calm because my future is bright. I am blessed because I make sound monetary decisions.

Even in a down economy, I have the ability to prosper by following simple life principles such as living within my means and giving to others. The personal choices I make about my money matter more than the decisions made by my government.

I choose to live within my means; therefore I have peace about the financial future of my family. I also elect to believe that, in spite of challenging economic times, my job is secure because I am an indispensable worker. Each day, I work harder to prove to my employer that I am worth having.

My mind is filled with a quiet serenity because I turn off negative media. I refuse to listen to news channels and people who revel in negativity. Instead, I turn my ear to people who have a positive outlook and are searching for ways to improve.

I remain peaceful because, although I may not be able to control what goes on in the government, I do have power over my own thoughts and actions. I choose to think positively about the future by rejecting fearful ideas.

Today, I embrace tranquility by crushing negative thoughts at the root. I make my mind fertile soil for positivity to grow. Peace overflows from within when I place my trust in the principles by which I live, rather than in the government.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. How does living within my means ensure me a peaceful financial future?
2. Why is it necessary to shut off negative media?
3. What can I do to show my employer I am indispensable?
