“If I could sum up why I’m committed to the HR Girlfriends community it would come down to because we are ‘….in this together.'”

~Sana’ Rasul, Chief Girlfriend

Affirmation: I am consistent in my personal and professional lives.

My life choices are dictated by a standard set of values.

Being true to myself means more than anything. Each morning, I take a moment to recommit to what I believe in. That allows me to remain authentic in each aspect of my life. I honor my system of beliefs even when they are challenged by outside influences.

Giving my best is important to me. My personal relationships and professional endeavors deserve my full input and attention.

Anything to which I commit my time is worth the energy it takes to make it work. When I decide to take a new job, it is because I know I am ready to offer a sincere work ethic. The goals agreed upon in the beginning serve as the basis of my commitment.

The same is true for new relationships. They are important enough for me to make time each day to nurture them.

Consistency in character is my lifelong commitment. I feel a sense of pride when others are able to count on me. Knowing that I am considered reliable gives me a good feeling. I avoid taking such small blessings for granted.

Today, it is easy for me to show my true self because I commit to that person each day. As much challenging effort as it takes to stay true to myself, I am willing to pursue it. There are few things in life that offer greater fulfillment than honest living.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What is my most noticeable character trait?
2. What source of encouragement do I tap into when my beliefs are challenged?
3. How often do I take a step back and reevaluate my life choices?
